Clients reviews about Vandenberg Landscapes

Having been an engineer and business owner for over 50 years, I have dealt with many smart and talented contractors, agents and technicians, (some not so much). Therefore, I am not easily impressed, but I have been with Vandenberg landscapes for the past 20 years. Matt Vandenberg is like myself, and old school father and son business that does business the old-fashioned way. They installed a large flagstone walk and garden for me many years ago and have maintained it since and his people have always been excellent and the price has always been fair. I trusted him, and never even asked for an estimate. Just told him to come and do the job and I knew it would be done properly. – John Rudl of Rudl international ~ John R

I recently had the pleasure of working with Vandenberg Landscaping, and they did an exceptional job redesigning our entire backyard. The transformation is absolutely amazing. They were not only quick and efficient but also adhered to their timeline. Having had major construction work done on my home, I’ve learned that what truly sets a company apart is the level of customer service provided after the project is completed. The customer service from Pat and Matt at Vandenberg Landscaping was outstanding. They genuinely care about their clients and were always available to address any questions or concerns I had. I highly recommend their services for anyone looking to enhance their outdoor space. ~ Maya H

We used Vandenberg Landscaping to do quite a large project in our backyard. Retaining walls, artificial turf, pergola, water fountain feature, backyard lighting, plants/trees, etc. We were so incredibly impressed and happy with their services. Right from the initial meeting, all the way until the final completion of the project. They were professional, excellent with communication, always made great suggestions and recommendations. The client manager was Jonathan and he was incredible to deal with and Matt was our project manager and he was amazing. Thank you vandenberg for brining our vision to life and building a backyard for our family to enjoy for many years. We were so pleased with your services and final product. ~ Erica L

Vandenberg met and exceeded our expectations from Design to the start of construction and throughout the entire project right up until completion Once they started, they never missed a day and they started right on schedule as they said they would and met our Finishing date right on! Pat, Cason and their entire crew had a wonderful job and are very personable and easy to talk with and were available anytime we asked to meet And they were very flexible whenever we wanted to change something or add something. They were very quick to respond and did exactly what we asked of them. We had a wonderful experience working with Vandenberg Landscapes. It was our first time and It won’t be our last!! ~ Brent C

Vandenberg designed and re-landscaped my small front yard. Trent, the designer, listened carefully to my desires for the design and produced an excellent set of plans. The installation crew was extremely professional. Throughout the project I interacted with extremely polite, prompt, and professional personnel. The crew worked very hard to complete the job in 2 days. There were none of the usual coffee and smoke breaks or endless standing around talking on cell phones that I often encounter. The Pit Stop was removed promptly first thing on the day following completion. The end product fully meets my expectations. ~ Paul L

Vandenberg took care of the redesign and execution of our front and back yards! When we bought the house we knew it was going to be a total redo as the yard was sad. The managed to take my ideas (which were vague at best) and turn them into a reality! I now proudly have the yard of my dreams- plenty of entertaining space- a cool sunken fire pit and low maintenance all around!! The crews were exceptionally polite and patient. Work was done on budget and on time! I would highly recommend them to anyone and would use them again in a heartbeat! Thanks to Matt, Trevor, Dan and the guys!!!! Just so happy with everything!! ~ Jana M

Matt and his team are professional, thorough, fair and qualified for any landscaping project. Vandenberg Landscapes is always such a pleasure to partner with. They are extremely professional and provide a consistent, positive experience. We partnered with them in 2021 on a backyard renovation and most recently sought their support for our landscape lighting. They responded to my email promptly, set an expectation of when they would get back to me with next steps, and followed through as promised. We had the pleasure of working with Cason this time, yet another remarkably professional member of their organization who was outstanding at communicating with me both in writing and in person. I appreciated him walking me through what was troubleshooted and what he diagnosed as the problem. He outlined what would be required and what to expect next. Cason got to the bottom of the problem and provided me with a great summary of what the resolution was accompanied with pictures. I was so impressed with how quickly everything was addressed. Thank you so much Cason! Once again another great example of competence on the Vandenberg team. ~ Laura G

Vandenberg Landscapes designed and built a large paver patio with stone landings and stone planter, new yard gates, flagstone walkway, decorative boulders, and re-sodding of the entire yard. The project also involved challenges with grading and irrigation relocation. We were very happy with the entire team throughout the process. Trent designed it and was patient and gracious during the design phase. Cason supervised on site and was professional and responsive during construction on site. The entire crew worked hard rain & shine and were very professional. Matt managed everything competently and remained involved and accessible to us until completion. There was additional work requested by us, and some open-ended work in the scope, but the pricing for these items ended up being reasonable and well-communicated in advance. The quality of the work is very high, and the team was accommodating with multiple minor last-minute changes. We would gladly use Vandenberg Landscapes for future projects and have already recommended Matt and his team to friends. ~ Alex L

My experience with the Vandenberg's team was professional and reliable from start to finish. They started and finished when they promised to, and cleaned up after themselves every day. My only regret was in not contacting them earlier in the year, which meant I had to wait longer for them to start than I had hoped. I have no hesitation in recommending this company, and will definitely use them again myself. ~ Jay K

We had ivy and weeds creeping over the walkway near the side gate and it was starting to look pretty rough. Basilscape Landscaping cleaned everything back, tidied the edges and cleared out the mess. It was one of those small things we kept ignoring, but the difference was really noticeable. ~ Skyler W
